KARLE PYAR KARLE Fails To Register, MISS LOVELY Fails To Translate Critical Appreciation In Numbers
Three new releases from Bollywood and few more from Hollywood made their way to box office today. Bollywood films were expected to struggle and that is what unfolded at box office.
Art house urban niche film ''Miss Lovely'' was slow in morning but with exceptional reviews pouring in, film grew though marginally from evening onwards. Film collected 13 lakhs on Friday and gew marginally with figure of 17 lakhs on Saturday. Film will finish with 50 lakhs weekend and 75 lakhs lifetime.
Other new release ''Karle Pyar Karle'' is embarrassment at box office. Film managed only 23 lakhs on Friday and further added 20 lakhs on Saturday that too from 1000 screens. Film has collected 43 lakhs in 2 days and will finish with 1 cr nett lifetime. Film is 1st epic disaster of 2014.
Other new release ''Paranthe Wali Gali'' had collection less than 10 lakhs in 2 days and had cancelled shows all over. Another Hindi release ''Strings Of Passion'' did not even register at box office.
