"Ek Tha Tiger" threw pleasant surprise at box office yesterday and broke every possible record. Film was expected to fall on 2nd day as it was a normal working day plus overshoot figures would be normalised on 2nd day.
But to be fair, film dropped a bit more than expected. Drop was witnessed across the board and it has sent few waves of cautiousness among trade guys and distributors. They were expecting a fall no more than 30%-35%. Film also suffered due to some negative word of mouth.
Film has done a great job on 1st day so even this drop does not affect film much but now fiilm has to be on this level only for next two days. Further drop from here on can draw a sorry picture for the film.
As per early estimates, film managed 15.25 cr nett on 2nd day which is a drop of 53% from Day 1. This is not an alrming figure but to sustain this for next two days will be the litmus test for TIGER.
