MADRAS CAFE Jumps On 2nd Saturday"Madras Cafe" started with good numbers over 1st weekend as film jumped over Saturday and Sunday. But film failed to perform on weekdays though film was steady but on lower levels as there was no appreciation outside metros.
Film collected 1.60 cr nett on 2nd Friday followed by 2.25 cr nett on 2nd Saturday taking total to 37 cr nett plus. Film will finish with 40 cr net after 2nd weekend. Film should touch 45 cr nett at end of 2nd week which is good but not enough.
Film might end up around 50 cr nett lifetime which is bad for a film made on budget of 35 cr (including P & A). Film will not recover more than 12 cr from ancillary rights (10 cr satellite rights has been sold) which means maximum earning of 30-32 cr which is still below average.
