Film was not expected to score big at box office as far as buzz was concerned though film got all India price of 10 cr plus for distribution rights. And film has justified the price all the way!
But film got huge benefit due to sequel factor, glowing reviews and shorter running time of 90 minutes which meant more shows. Film was boosted by poor show of all Bollywood releases and film is heading for solid weekend at box office.
Film collected 4.18 cr nett approx on Friday following 83 lakhs on Thursday in paid previews. Film jumped on Saturday and raked in 4.67 cr nett. Film further added 5.17 cr nett on Sunday and on Monday film added 2.15 cr nett. Film has collected 17 cr nett in 4 days.
Film is now heading for 21 cr nett in week one which means film is a huge hit and respite at box office for cinema owners. Film collected more than 45% of total collection over weekend at box office.
