KARLE PYAR KARLE And All Other New Releases Bite The Dust At Box Office

Three new releases from Bollywood and few more from Hollywood made their way to box office today. Bollywood films were expected to struggle and that is what unfolded at box office.

Art house urban niche film ''Miss Lovely'' was low on Friday but with exceptional reviews pouring in, film grew though marginally from Saturday onwards. Film collected 13 lakhs on Friday and grew marginally with figure of 17 lakhs on Saturday. Film further added 20 lakhs on Sunday taking weekend total to 50 lakhs. Film further added 7 lakhs on Monday and 5 lakhs on Tuesday taking 5 day total to 62 lakhs. Film will finish with 90 lakhs -1 cr nett lifetime.

Other new release ''Karle Pyar Karle'' is embarrassment at box office. Film managed only 23 lakhs on Friday, further added 20 lakhs on Saturday and 25 lakhs on Sunday taking weekend total to 68 lakhs and  that too from 1000 screens. Film further added 15 lakhs on Monday and 13 lakhs on Tuesday taking 5 day total to 96 lakhs. Film will finish with 1.25 cr nett lifetime.  Film is 1st epic disaster of 2014. 

Other new release ''Paranthe Wali Gali'' had collection less than 10 lakhs in 5 days and had cancelled shows all over. Another Hindi release  ''Strings Of Passion'' did not even register at box office.
