YAMLA PAGLA DEEWANA 2 Takes A Decent Start But WOM Is Bad

 

"Yamla Pagla Deewana 2" got good screen space despite humongous biz of YJHD and film has taken a decent opening almost on expected lines.

 

 

Film started with a bang in North, the strongest territory of Deols. Film had opening of 70% approx in north. East Punjab was notch better and UP was a bit lower. Central India was 50% and film is strictly average there. Mumbai was 40-45% and South is poor with 30%.

Overall opening of 45% is average but film needs to show ample growth in evening in order to post respectable numbers. Film has very mixed reviews so good growth looks tough. As per early estimate, film should collect in range of 9-10 cr nett at least though evening shows will decide the outcome.

YJHD lost screens to new release but morning shows in metros are stable so it will be a good close race this weekend.


New Hollywood releases "Now You See Me" and "After Earth" opened to poor response outside metros.
