"Chennai Express" arrived with some big expectations and despite usual negativity from few cynics, film continued to march on at box office with aplomb.

Film started well in Mumbai and it seems that film will break "Ek Tha Tiger" record in Mumbai, Hyderabad, Mysore, Maharashtra, Orrisa and Tamilnadu with occupancy of in excess of 85%. This is despite paid previews and that means film is trending well at the moment.

Film will grow as the day progresses and be assured for any figure in excess of 27 cr nett though how big will be he figure can be ascertained late evening only.

Film will cross 10 cr overseas barrier and it can go higher than that which is simply outstanding. Overall worldwide 36 cr plus day on card at minimum though 40 cr is also possible.
