And now, a remake of the film is on cards. The remake will be co-produced by Karanvir Bohra and he will portray the role played by SRK in the original. Talking about the film, Bohra said, "I can't reveal anything about the story at the moment, but I can tell you that TV director Lalit Mohan took a break from shows for a year to concentrate on the preproduction of this film and a team of writers worked with him on the script." "We roll in the first week of December. I am really nervous about the film. We are currently in the process of casting the other leads," the actor added. It is said that the makers wanted the title ‘Janam’ from Mahesh Bhatt. However, as Bhatt was unsure what kind of a remake it would be, he refused it.
