Hrithik Roshan Starrer MOHENJO DARO In Legal Trouble

Wednesday, 16th Dec 2015, 6:42 PM IST Ashutosh Gowariker’s ‘Mohenjo Daro’ starring Hrithik Roshan has landed into a legal trouble. Filmmaker Akashaditya Lama has sent a legal notice to the team of the film claiming the script of ‘Mohenjo Daro’ to be similar to his script. Lama said, “I sent him (Ashutosh) a handwritten script through Saluja which he returned after four days saying that he had just directed a period movie (‘Lagaan’) and didn’t wish to make another one immediately.” “I was surprised to learn that Gowariker had already commenced his film’s pre-production. After re-confirming from several sources that his ‘Mohenjo Daro’ is very similar to my script, I sent him another mail on July 18, 2014, reminding him about the script I had sent to him in 2002-2003,” he added. The hearing will take place on 17th Dec. The lawyers of Ashutosh Gowariker said, “Our client states that they had received a script from Mr Ballu Saluja in 2003. However, our client returned the script to Mr Ballu Saluja immediately without reading the same.” Akashaditya was going to make his film with some other producer, but they have backed out of the project. Akashaditya said, “After Ashutosh Gowariker announced his film, our financier backed out.
