Thursday, 7th May 2015, 2:22 PM IST Anurag Kashyap’s ‘Bombay Velvet’ has faced the scissors of Central Board of Film Certification. The word ‘dhobi’ and a line which is in reference of God have been deleted from the film. A source from CBFC said, "Aamir Khan's ‘Dhobi Ghat’ had to get a clearance from the dhobi community before it could be called that." In 2007, CBFC had asked the makers of Madhuri Dixit starrer ‘Aaja Nachle’ to replace the word mochi in a song. CBFC has also asked the makers of ‘BV’ to edit out a reference to God in a song where the lover places his beloved above God. The source said, "We know songs in the past like 'Khuda Bhi Aasman Se Jab Zameen Par Dekhta Hoga Mere Mehboob Ko Kissne Banaya Sochta Hoga' were accepted. But we're now in troubled over-sensitive times. So, no supersession of God by any human being, please!"
