Tuesday, 12th May 2015, 3:58 PM IST Anushka Sharma, who will next be seen in ‘Bombay Velvet’, recently spoke up about her role in the film and how she understands each of her characters in a new and different way. Anushka said, “I have been inspired by the fashion sense of Helen. She was personally involved in what she was wearing. I also looked up to the likes of Sharmila Tagore and Mumtaz. Moreover, the script of the film was intriguing and written with great clarity which helped us, as actors, to develop our own approach towards our roles.” “The characters I choose to essay help me remain relevant in the industry. It makes me feel great, that directors are approaching me with different roles, because the idea is to reinvent myself and make the audience forget what I have done in my earlier films,” she added. Talking about her character Rosie, Anushka said, “Rosie has had a difficult life and didn’t have any support from her family. Personally, I had a really protected upbringing. She was treated badly and abused as a kid, and that changes one’s outlook towards life. As far I am concerned, I haven’t regretted any decision in my life so far and it’s all part of my life and growth.” She also revealed that she is keen on doing a film. The actress said, “It is easier to attempt something in sports, but I would also be very enthusiastic to play the role of an actor, but that would also need prior permission from the family as an actor’s life is so layered.” Now you can enjoy ad-free experience by downloading India’s first Box Office mobile app from here –Android: http://bit.ly/BOCapsuleMobileApp and iOS: bit.ly/BOCapsuleiOSApp |
