Saturday, 30th May 2015, 6:18 PM IST On May 21, Bollywood superstar Shahrukh Khan underwent arthroscopic surgery on his left knee at South Mumbai's Breach Candy Hospital. He was advised complete rest by his doctors. However, the superstar resumed the shooting of his upcoming film ‘Raees’ on Friday, after resting for only a week. In Rahul Dholakia's ‘Raees’, SRK will be seen playing a Gujarati bootlegger. A source associated with the movie said, "A huge set has been erected in Film City and due to SRK's injury a lot of precious time has been wasted. They need to wrap up a major chunk of the schedule before monsoon hits the city as the set will have to be dismantled at that point. So he had to return to work despite being advised rest. These sequences were to be filmed last week." However, SRK isn't ready to do heavy-duty action already, as it could aggravate the injury. So, for a chase sequence, a body double did all the running for him. "Once his knee is better, Shahrukh himself will start shooting the action scenes and there are several of them," added the source.
