Saturday, 8th Aug 2015, 1:19 PM IST Salman Khan is getting praises from everyone for his performance in Kabir Khan’s ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’. People are also stating that he might get a National Award for it. But, not many know that the first choice for the film was Aamir Khan. A source close to the project said, "When writer K. V. Vijayendra Prasad, who has constantly collaborated with his son S. S. Rajamouli, decided to do a script in Hindi he came to Mumbai with the script of ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’. He took the script straight to Aamir Khan, as he wanted Aamir for the part." However, Aamir wanted a few changes and Prasad opted not to change the script. "He wanted some radical changes in the script as he felt the content was too political. Vijayendraji refused to make the changes. He took the script to Hrithik Roshan. Hrithik loved the script. But, when he heard the price - Rs 2 crores - for the bound script, Hrithik Roshan felt it was too much," the source said. But, before the ‘Krrish’ star could make up his mind, Salman heard about the script. "Salman loved the concept. He not only offered Vijayendra Prasad to immediately buy the script, he also gave Rs 50 lakhs immediately as the signing amount," the source added.
