Tuesday, 11th Aug 2015, 2:47 PM IST Music Composers: Ajay-Atul Lyricist: Amitabh Bhattacharya Karan Malhotra, who had directed ‘Agneepath’ a remake of 1990 film with the same title, is now all set to get one more remake on the silver screen. ‘Brothers’, starring Akshay Kumar, Sidharth Malhotra and Jacqueline Fernandez is a remake of Hollywood flick ‘Warrior’. It will be hitting the screens on 14th Aug. The music album of the film is out, so let’s see what’s there in store for us. The album starts with the track titled ‘Brothers Anthem’. It’s a high-on energy number with inspirational lyrics. The music is really superb. This is a perfect number to listen while you are working out at the gym or doing any other activity which needs motivation. Vishal Dadlani has sung the track fantastically. His voice really takes the song to a higher level. Ratings: 3.5/5 Moving forward comes in Shreya Ghoshal’s melodious voice in the track ‘Gaaye Ja’. It’s a number with soft and soulful music and emotional lyrics. However, after listening to this number for a few minutes, you might feel a bit bored. But, Shreya’s voice saves the track. She has sung the track wonderfully and makes us feel that no other singer could have done justice to the song. There is also a male version of the song sung by Mohammed Irfan. There’s not much difference in it, just it is sung by a male singer. However, Irfan’s voice isn’t as impressive as Shreya’s. Ratings: 2.5/5 Next comes in ‘Sapna Jahan’, a slow romantic number which tries to test your patience. No, it’s not at all a bad number; but it’s more than five-minute long and you cannot take so much of romance. There’s nothing new when it comes to Sonu Nigam and Neeti Mohan’s singing style. Ratings: 1.5/5 And finally, we have ‘Mera Naam Mary’, a song whose tune is borrowed from ‘Ye Go Ye Ye Maina’ from Marathi film ‘Jatra’. However, this one too entertains us and you will surely start dancing while listening to the track. Chinmayi Sripada has sung the song very well. Ratings: 3.5/5 On the whole, the music album of ‘Brothers’ is strictly mediocre and could have been better Ratings: 2.5/5 Music Review By –
