Friday, 23rd Oct 2015, 4:15 PM IST Finally, after weeks of thinking, Sooraj Barjatya has agreed to cut a few scenes from his film ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’ which stars Salman Khan and Sonam Kapoor in the lead roles. The final runtime of the film is 2 hours 50 minutes. If sources are to be believed, the original runtime of the film was 3 hours 20 mins and it has been cut down by 30 mins. However, the runtime of the film is 7 minutes more than Salman's previous release ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’. Apparently, the collection might get hit by the excessive running time. It is said that people feel that Ajay Devgn starrer ‘Drishyam’ could have done better if the runtime of the film was less. However, a trade expert said, "Everybody wants more and more of Salman Khan. Such is his magic and power. Coming with Sooraj Barjatya after a long time the magic is bound to cast its potent spell on the box office." "A larger than life family drama can never be enjoyed within a smaller time-frame. Family movies are made in very very less numbers now. They bring that much-needed change from our selfie-styled living in present times," the trade expert added.
