Thursday, 12th Nov 2015, 2:45 PM IST In a recent interview Farhan Akhtar opened up about what went wrong during the casting of ‘Mr. Chaloo’ and his experience working with Amitabh Bachchan in his upcoming film ‘Wazir’. Talking about Reema Kagti’s ‘Mr. Chaloo’ and the casting façade, he said, “Reema is a very strong person. She will find a solution. Every film has to go through its natural cycle of casting. I don’t think there is any director who hasn’t faced such problems. It is unfortunate that she has to go through it.” When questioned about Saif Ali Khan’s nod on the project and then backing out, Farhan said, “There is bound to be a sense of disappointment when something like this happens just when you’re ready to start your film. I also empathize with her because I’ve gone through it myself.” About ‘Wazir’ he mentioned, “I know how to play chess. But ‘Wazir’ is not really about the game of chess. Of course, Mr Bachchan’s character is a master chess player in the film. But the film isn’t about the game.” Now you can enjoy ad-free experience by downloading India’s first Box Office mobile app from here –Android: http://bit.ly/BOCapsuleMobileApp and iOS: bit.ly/BOCapsuleiOSApp |
