Saturday, 2nd Jan 2016, 3:02 PM IST Rohit Shetty’s ‘Dilwale’ starring Shahrukh Khan has proved to be a successful venture. The director recently revealed the difficulties he faced during the shooting of the film. “With any film, the maker does face some problem or the other with whatever he/she is doing. For me, the canvas was so big and shooting an action film in Bulgaria was difficult. The sequence where Kajol comes out as the villain was a tough one to shoot. Even Shah Rukh Khan’s entry as the other guy in Bulgaria was quite difficult because we were shooting in a city and we had to cordon it off. The people and the government over there were really helpful though.” “The terrain of Iceland is also difficult to shoot in, and there’s the weather. We went in summer, but it was zero degrees there, so we were not prepared, because we thought, ‘It’s summer’! [Laughs] We used to travel for two-and-a-half hours every day and we changed our hotels daily. We were staying in a hotel meant for backpackers, so our rooms were really small. Shooting in the glaciers and the Black Sea — the funny thing was that everyone thought it was CG, so we had to show the making of it (so that they would know it’s real),” he added. Rohit further said, “When we were shooting in Bulgaria, a group of women had traveled from Japan and New Zealand to meet SRK. After seeing them for 3-4 days, the local team told me that the women were fans of SRK and had come to see him. The moment he (Shahrukh) shook hands with one of the girls, we had to call the doctor, because she fainted! Then everyone panicked, and we all had to run!” Now you can enjoy ad-free experience by downloading India’s first Box Office mobile app from here –Android: http://bit.ly/BOCapsuleMobileApp and iOS: bit.ly/BOCapsuleiOSApp |
