Monday, 24 April 2017, 02:11 PM IST Karan Johar will be co-producing director Meghna Gulzar’s Next directorial venture. A source revealed that Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions will be coming on board to co-produce Meghna’s film along with Junglee Pictures. It is also heard that the movie is going to be based on Harinder S. Sikka’s novel ‘Calling Sehmat.’ The film might be a spying thriller, revolving around the life of a Kashmiri girl who is married to a Pakistani army officer. Alia Bhatt has been approached for the title role. She will be portraying a spy of the early 1970s. The movie is based on the conditions that led to Indo-Pak war in 1971 but not the actual war. The film will go on floors in June or July this year. Meghna’s last film ‘Talvar’ did very well on box office and garnered critical acclaim as well. The subject of this film also sounds interesting.
