By Reema Chhabda - May 3, 2019 With a week left for the release of 'Student of the year 2' starring Tiger Shroff, Ananya Pandey and Tara Sutaria, directed by Punit Malhotra, the director had a lot to say about the film, the cast and their equation. The film releases on 10th May 2019. The director spoke candidly about the film and the long wait since his last directorial and depression he faced on its failure. Opened up about working with a star like Tiger Shroff and the added pressure that comes with it, also spoke about the two girls Tara Sutaria and Ananya Pandey and their bonding off-screen. He also spoke about the characters that the actors are playing. When asked how he’s responding to the people saying that it's unrealistic, He replied with a chuckle that “I agree to that, and I wish could go to a college like that.” When asked about the most fun and challenging part to direct the sequel Director replied “Fun was getting to direct a film like student of the year and the biggest challenge was that I had to direct film’s which sequel which was previously directed by a director like Karan Johar and living up to the expectations so that was the challenging bit”. When who asked who is the most brilliant student, most obedient and most mischievous this is what he said, “Tiger was perhaps was the most brilliant student and Tara and Ananya both were obedient and Mischievous.” When asked about the difference in Karan’s and Punit’s college he replied with a laugh,” Karan’s school is a rich college and my college also has a gareeb (poor) college.” The highly anticipated sequel to Student of the year franchise releases on the 10th of May 2019.
