Tabu Joins Jawaani Jaaneman cast

By Reema Chhabda - May 6, 2019 Saif Ali Khan starrer Jawaani Jaaneman marks Pooja Bedi’s daughter Alaia Furniturewala debut where Saif is playing her father. Reportedly, Bollywood diva Tabu, who is basking on the success of her last film Andhadhun has joined the star cast of Saif Ali Khan and Alaia’s upcoming film Jawaani Jaaneman. Going by the latest reports, Tabu’s role in the film is small but very influential. The director of the film, Nitin Kakkar told an entertainment website, "We begin shooting for Jawani Jaaneman on Monday. It is a father-daughter story”. Last year, Jawani Janeman's producer Jay Shewakramani took to Instagram to announce Saif Ali Khan's association with the film. The actor is co-producing the film along with Jacky Bhagnani’s Pooja Entertainment. Coming back to Jawaani Jaaneman, the film is a coming-of-age story of a 40-year-old man and revolves around his relationship with his daughter. Alaia will be seen playing the onscreen daughter of Saif Ali Khan. Earlier, Saif told a leading daily, "She has all the qualities we were looking for in the young lead, the charm and energy to take the film to the level that it needs. We are lucky to have found our perfect cast and I'm looking forward to working with Alaia." It is also said that the makers zeroed in on Alaia after screen-testing 50 aspirants. Apart from Jawaani Jaaneman, Saif has many interesting projects lined up. The actor will star in Om Raut's period drama, Taanaji: The Unsung Warrior alongside Ajay Devgn. He will star Pavan Kirpalani's horror-comedy Bhoot Police. Saif will collaborate with Fatima Sana Shaikh for the first time in this film. Fukrey actor Ali Fazal will star in the lead role in the film. Currently, Tabu is busy promoting her upcoming film De De Pyaar De which also stars Ajay Devgn and Rakul Preet Singh.
