Tuesday, 3rd June 2014, 06:00 PM IST The Bombay High Court has extended the interim relief which was given to Salman Khan on May 30th. The court had placed a restraining order on a private news channel against airing a programme based on the hit and run case that Salman Khan is undergoing in court. Today, however, Justice S C Gupte extended this interim relief till further orders, while adjourning the hearing to June16. The programme was first aired on this English news channel on May 21. Salman had approached the court and pleaded that allegations made in the programme dramatised and sensationalised the case. Salman therefore asked for a restraining order against the repeat telecast as this could influence the outcome of the case. Salman is currently being tried by the Sessions court for allegedly running over a group of people sleeping on a pavement in Bandra in 2002, leaving one dead and four injured. |
