1st Weekend Box Office Collection Of THE AMAZING SPIDERMAN 2

Film is not strong in dubbed version and also the word of mouth is not that great. Film collected 30 cr nett over 4 days extended weekend and 39 cr gross. Film has collected $ 377 million (INR 2270 cr) worldwide over weekend and $ 92 million (INR 554 cr) in North America over weekend.

THE AMAZING SPIDERMAN 2 Had Good But Underwhelming Weekend

Hollywood film are dominating Indian box office in big way and May 2014 might see the highest ever box office business in India with three back to back big releases lined up. ''The Amazing Spiderman 2'' was biggest of all and was released with huge expectations.

Film collected close to 7.75 cr nett on day one which was good but not great considering holiday on May 1st and release size. Film had drop of 40% on Saturday which was too big. Film was expected to drop on Friday but this was a bit too much drop. Film collected 6.60 cr nett on Friday.

Film grew on Saturday which was expected but growth was not phenomenal. Film collected 7.15 cr nett which was just 10% growth over Friday. Film did good business on Sunday and collected 8.15 cr nett but even this was below the mark.

Now real test for the film starts today and even 50% drop is acceptable but more than that means curtain for the film.
