2nd Week Box Office Collection Of THE SHAUKEENS

Friday, 21st November 11:40 AM IST THE SHAUKEENS Is Heading For Low 2nd Week Akshay Kumar starrer ''The Shaukeens'' released 2 weeks back and it got wide release in 1900-2000 screens. Film is a remake of sleeper hit from 1982 ''Shaukeen''. Film had rather decent buzz before release but that did not translate in numbers on Friday. ''The Shaukeens'' collected 28.56 cr nett in week one that was strictly average total. Film got good reviews but it never picked up beyond an extent. Film needed big jumps over weekend which were clearly missing. Film collected 83 lakhs nett on 2nd Friday and that was 85% drop from 1st Friday. Film jumped on 2nd Saturday and collected 1.07 cr nett. Film grew marginally on Sunday with 1.25 cr nett numbers but like week one, film failed to jump big. Film dropped further on Monday and collected 48 lakhs nett followed by 42 lakhs nett on Tuesday, 40 lakhs nett on Wednesday and 38 lakhs nett on Thursday. Film has total of 33.39 cr nett in 14 days. Now film is heading for 35 cr nett lifetime finish. Film was hurt by poor opening day and then film never grew as per expected lines. Even in overseas film collected poor 1.65 cr.
