Detailed Analysis:

'Zid' is latest offering from producer Anubhav Sinha and director Vivek Agnihotri. Vivek directed hit erotica 'Hate Story' and now he is back with another one.

Film has razor thin plot. Set in Goa, film has all cliches one can expect in erotica. Two girls (Shraddha Das and Mannara) busy taking their clothes off throughout and one guy (Karanvir Sharma) is busy making love. One fatal accident and then revenge twist behind all skin show from female lead makes it even more cheesy. Though we will not reveal the climax but for sure it will leave you huffing and puffing.

Performance wise Mannara makes a disastrous debut. She dares to bare all in front of camera and gives some real steamy shots but that is all about her talent. She is neither camera friendly nor impresses with her performance in intense scenes. Karanvir delivers the only honest performance in this film and excels despite poor writing. Shraddha Das is also not bad and holds herself well in brief role.

Film has some real melodious songs and all songs work as welcome break in somewhat tepid affair. Editing is top notch and cinematography is decent. Background score is good. Story was so cliche that even a decent screenplay could had failed. Dialogues are strictly average. Art department and costume department are average.

DirectorVivek Agnihtri made some interesting films like 'Chocolate', 'De Dana Dan Goal' and 'Buddha In Traffic Jam' but this one falters big time. Film never rises above skin show and even misses intensity of 'Hate Story'.

Film will release today and will get 1800 - 2000 screens which will be more than enough for such film. Film has good chances at box office as there is no major competition but with such content only masses can take it to safe zone.
