DEADPOOL Had Good Week One

Two similar films ''Fitoor'' and ''Sanam Re'' released on the weekend of Valentines Day. Last one month has seen clash but except ''Airlift'' almost all films under performed. And now first big Hollywood film of year ''Deadpool'' has hit screens along with Bollywood films and sprung a surprise.

''Deadpool'' released across 700 screens in India. Film had mass appeal and it was always suppose to score among multiplex audience. Film had good pre release buzz and awareness. Film is one of its kind tongue in cheek humorous super hero film so it was not a sure shot proposition in Indian market.

But film managed to score good day one despite competition from Bollwyood films and scored 4.10 cr net on day one. Film grew on Saturday and collected 4.90 cr nett followed by solid Sunday of 5.25 cr nett. Film added 2.87 cr nett on Monday, 2.10 cr nett on Tuesday,  1.70 cr net ton Wednesday and 1.60 cr nett on Thursday.

Film has 22.52 cr nett total in 1st week and it should cross 30 cr nett lifetime. Film is super solid in metros. This year will see some big Hollywood super hero films and this is just alarming signs for poor quality makers of Bollywood.
