But even 2015 remained flat in terms of business and 2016 is also on similar levels as last year. Big films have underperformed and now flow of big releases start with 'Housefull 3'. 'Fan' topped the chart with 19.20 cr nett though it was good but not great as per star power of Shahrukh Khan. Now 'Housefull 3' has collected 15.21 cr which was again good but not great as per franchise value and expectations. 'Airlift' had 12.35 cr nett opening day which was really good considering the class appeal. 'Baaghi' has cemented Tiger as star with 11.94 cr nett opening day. 'Udta Punjab' cashed upon controversies and opened big with 10.05 cr nett number which was 5th best of 2016. Then came the first big release 'Sultan' and that collected 36.54 cr nett on day one, 3rd highest ever and highest in 2016 with big margin. 'Dishoom' collected 11.05 cr nett on opening day which was 6th best of the year. 'Rustom' collected 14.11 cr nett on opening day despite clash and 2310 screen size which was 4th best of this year.
