Monday, 3rd October 11:30 AM IST PINK Crosses 4.25 Cr Nett Over 3rd Weekend Amitabh Bachchan starrer 'Pink' was never expected to open big as such films only grow over weekend due to word of mouth. Film had good pre release buzz and glowing reviews. And that is what worked for the film. Film opened to 15% occupancy on day one morning which was low. Film grew from evening show onwards and urban centers were super strong. Film was close to capacity in premium multiplexes in late night shows. Film collected 4.32 cr nett on day one which was strictly average. But good reviews and word of mouth made sure huge jump on 2nd day. Film collected 7.65 cr nett on 2nd day which is huge jump of 80%. Film jumped by 30% on Sunday with 9.54 cr nett. As predicred yesterday, film collected solid 3.78 cr nett on Monday which was negligible drop from Friday. Film was solid on Tuesday with 3.51 cr nett followed by solid 3.87 cr nett on Wednesday and 3.24 cr nett on Thursday. Film collected 35.91 cr nett in 1st week. Film trended strongly over weekdays. Film collected super solid 3.15 cr nett on 2nd Friday which was bigger than combined total of all new releases. Film jumped by 75% and collected 5.49 cr nett on 2nd Saturday. Film jumped again on 2nd Sunday and collected 6.57 cr nett. Film added 15.21 cr nett in 2nd weekend which is just 30% drop from 1st weekend. Film was decent on 2nd Monday with 1.98 cr nett followed by 1.62 cr nett on Tuesday, 1.53 cr nett on Wednesday and 1.53 cr nett on Thursday. Film has 2nd week total of 21.87 cr nett which was just 40% drop from 1st week. Film collected decent 1.08 cr nett on 3rd Friday despite humongous biz of 'Dhoni'. Film added 1.35 cr nett on 3rd Saturday. Film collected 1.80 cr nett on 3rd Sunday with decent growth. Film added 4.23 cr nett in 3rd weekend which will be great. Film has 17-day total of 62.01 cr nett which is superb figure. Film needed to cross 38 cr nett for recovery for it's distributors which is done now. Film is heading for 68 cr nett lifetime. You can gauge success of the film as it crossed lifetime business of 'Baar Baar Dekho' in 6 days. Film has also done well overseas with 6 cr plus over 1st weekend and 13.78 cr after 2nd weekend.
