RUSTOM Is Heading For 128 Cr Nett Lifetime 

This week box office saw a clash which had two contrasting films. Akshay Kumar  starrer ‘Rustom’ and Hrithik Roshan starrer ‘Mohenjodaro’ are fighting out at box office and as expected by pre release buzz, Akshay has won this clash by some margin. 

‘Rustom’ was ahead in East Punjab, UP, Mumbai and central India. Film was super solid in multiplexes and even not so strong circuits for Akshay Kumar like Mysore, Nizam were very good for the film. Film collected around 14.11 cr nett on day one which was good considering release size and clash factor. 

As predicted by us, film grew by close to 18-20% on 2nd day and collected 16.43 cr nett. Film witnessed further growth on Sunday and collected 19.88 cr nett. Film has weekend total of 50.42 cr nett and as expected it had big independence day holiday. Film was affected due to clash but managed very good 17.81 cr nett which was 10% less than Sunday. 


Film was super strong on Tuesday with less than 45% drop. Film added 7.67 cr nett on Tuesday.Film was good on Wednesday with 6.38 cr nett. Film grew again on Thursday due to Raksha Bandhan and collected 9.62 cr nett. 



Film collected superb 90.90 cr nett in 1st week which is 2nd highest of this year after ‘Sultan’ and highest ever for Akshay Kumar. Film remained strong on 2nd Friday depsite losing the screens and collected 4.41 cr nett on 2nd Friday and followed it by big jump with 5.77 cr nett on Saturday. Film again jumped on Sunday with 6.94 cr nett. Film collected 17.12 cr nett over 2ndweekend. Film collected 2.21 cr nett on 2nd Monday, 1.97 cr nett on Tuesday. Film added 2.34cr nett on Wednesday and 2.47 cr nett on Thursday due to holiday benefit. It collected 26.10 cr nett in 2nd week. Film added 1.29 cr nett on 3rd Friday, 1.89 cr nett on 3rd Saturday and 2.09 cr nett on Sunday. Film crossed 5.27 cr nett over 3rd weekend. Film added 69 lakhs nett, 61 lakhs nett, 58 lakhs nett and 56 lakhs nett on weekdays in 3rd week. 

Film collected good total of 7.71 cr nett in 3rd week. Film collected 31 lakhs nett on 4th Friday followed by jump on 4th Saturday with 47 lakhs nett. Film added 59 lakhs nett on Sunday with good jump. Film collected 29 lakhs nett on Monday with little push from holiday in Mumbai. Film added 24 lakhs nett on Tuesday, 23 lakhs nett on Wednesday and 28 lakhs nett on Thursday. Film collected 2.41 cr nett in 4th week. 



Film has total of 127.13 cr nett after 4th week which is superb and it is heading for 128 cr nett lifetime finish. It is 3rd 100 cr grosser this year for Akshay Kumar though it will fail to cross highest Akshay Kumar grosser ‘Rowdy Rathore’ though it will cross 'Airlift' tomorrow. Film added 1.24 million $ (8.30cr) on opening day in overseas with healthy biz in UAE-GCC (4.3 cr in two days). Film has weekend collection of 23 cr plus in overseas and 90 cr worldwide gross followed by 153 cr worldwide egross in 1st week. Film added 3.77 million $ (25.40 cr) in 1st week and 4.8 million $ (34 cr) in 10-days in overseas. Film has crossed 39 cr (6 million $) in overseas and will finish with 6.25 million $ lifetime total. Film crossed 200 cr worldwide gross too.
