SANAM RE Had Fair 2nd Weekend

Two similar films ''Fitoor'' and ''Sanam Re'' released on the weekend of Valentines Day. Last one month has seen clash but except ''Airlift'' almost all films under performed. Hollywood film ''Deadpool'' also was strong competition. Both Bollywood releases disappointed.

''Sanam Re'' released across 2000 screens in India. Film had mass appeal and it was always suppose to struggle among multiplex audience and that is why film needed to score tremendously on day one as such films do not grow over weekend that too with such wide release. But film failed to post good day one total as negative reviews started pouring in plus cricket match dented it further.

Film collected poor 5.04 cr nett on day one which was below par number. Film failed to grow on 2nd day and managed 5.56 cr nett which was almost similar to Friday number. Film grew well on Sunday and collected 6.45 cr nett which was 20% growth. Film dropped by only 37% and collected 2.56 cr nett followed by 2.34 cr nett on Tuesday, 2.11 cr nett on Wednesday and 1.76 cr nett on Thursday.

Film collected 25.82 cr nett in week one. Film collected 1.03 cr nett on 2nd Friday, 1.30 cr nett on 2nd Saturday and 1.40 cr nett on 2nd Sunday. Film collected 3.73 cr nett in 2nd weekend and it should cross 6 cr nett in 2nd week.

Film trended decently but low opening day hurt it badly. Film has total of 29.55 cr nett in 10 days which is average. It looks to finish around 32 cr nett lifetime total and that''s below par/average considering promotion and cost.
