Wednesday, 27th April 12:30 PM IST NIL BATTEY SANNATA Grows But On Low Levels, LAAL RANG And SANTA BANTA Are Disasters Last week we saw interesting mix of releases. ''Nil Battey Sannata'' was social drama set in small town, ''Santa Banta Pvt Ltd'' was a comedy and ''Laal Rang'' was social thriller set in Haryana. But sadly no film managed to make any mark at box office as ''The Jungle Book'' steamrolled all its competition. ''Nil Battey Sannata'' started very slowly with 25 lakhs nett number but then film jumped big on positive word of mouth and collected 60 lakhs nett on Saturday. Film scored good Sunday with 85 lakhs nett number. Film managed 1.70 cr nett over weekend and its heading for 2.75-3 cr nett week one. Film got appreciation but that never translated in numbers due to low level of starts. ''Laal Rang'' was biggest release out of all this week but started very poorly with 40 lakhs nett on Friday. Film managed almost similar number on Saturday with 45 lakhs nett followed by 40 lakhs nett on Sunday. Film has weekend total of 1.25 cr nett and it is heading for 2.25 cr nett week one and similar will be lifetime. Other release ''Santa Bnata Pvt Ltd'' was washout with 15 lakhs nett on Friday and Saturday followed by 15 lakhs nett on Sunday. Film collected 45 lakhs nett over weekend and it will finish with 75 lakhs nett lifetime. | |
