FITOOR Tanks Over 2nd Weekend

Two similar films ''Fitoor'' and ''Sanam Re'' released on the weekend of Valentines Day. Last one month has seen clash but except ''Airlift'' almost all films under performed. Hollywood film ''Deadpool'' also was strong competition.

''Fitoor'' released across 1400 screens in India and 400 screens overseas. Film had urban feel and appeal among multiplex audience and that is why film needed to grow tremendously from evening onwards after 15% start. But film never grew as negative reviews started pouring in plus cricket match dented it further.

Film collected poor 3.61 cr nett on day one which was disaster numbers. And as expected it did not grow much on day two and collected 4.54 cr nett followed by 5.96 cr nett on Sunday. Film dropped by 55% on Monday despite low Friday. Film collected very poor 1.40 cr nett on Tuesday, 1.15 cr nett on Wednesday and 1.11 cr nett on Thursday.

Film collected 19.35 cr nett in week one which was extremely poor. Film collected less than ''Sanam Re'' and ''Deadpool'' which was shocking. Film dropped drastically over 2nd weekend with 50 lakhs nett number.

Film collected 19.85 cr nett in 10 days which is disastrous. It looks to finish under 21 cr nett lifetime total and that''s a mammoth disappointment. Film was below par in overseas over weekend with 10.24 cr (1.5 million $) total and 15.05 cr (2.15 million $) after week one.
