‘Kapoor & Sons’ directed by Shakun Batra under Dharma Productions stars Rishi Kapoor, Ratna Pathak, Rajat Kapoor and the nations teen Heartthrobs Fawad Khan, Sidharth Malhotra & Alia Bhatt. Kapoor & Sons is a young family drama incorporated with a love triangle. Let’s review the music album and find what’s in store.
The first track of the album is ‘Kar Gayi Chull’ which has already picked up well and by all means deserves its popularity since it’s a crazy modernistic track well composed & rapped by Badshah making it one of his best so far, also crooned by Amaal Mallik, Fazilpuria, Sukriti Kakar and Neha Kakkar in their youthful & Zestful vocals. It’s a complete dance track with some wacky lyrics put together by Badshah & Kumaar. You are going to be hearing and grooving to this track everywhere for a long………time, after all Ladki Beautiful Kar Gayi Chull!!!!!!!!!! Ratings: 4.5/5
‘Bolna’ the next song is a mesmerizing romantic composition by the immensely skilled Tanishk Bagchi and has been sung dreamily by Arijit Singh in his marvelous voice who almost always manages to stab our hearts with his soulful humming and is complimented by the recently introduced talent to bollywood playback singing Asees Kaur. The fantastic lyrics written by Dr. Devender Kafir are tearfully touchy and will hit the right cords of your heart. Ratings: 4.5/5
The album moves further with the techno track ‘Buddhu Sa Mann’ which is an enthusiastic composition by Amaal Mallik sung very stylishly in his own voice along with the cute & charismatic Armaan Mallik these siblings are turning out to be a powerhouse and are worth keeping a track of. The lively lyrics have been penned down by Abhiruchi Chand the line Buddhu Sa Mann just creates that perfect connect. Ratings: 3.5/5
A slow and expressive song ‘Saathi Rey’ sungand composed by Arko Pravo Mukherjeein his signature style. Arko is well known for giving the film the best track of the album again and again with the depth and harmony that he adds to each song. The sensitive lyrics written by Manoj Muntashir take the composition to a different level. This one will grow on you slowly trapping you in its depth. Ratings: 3.5/5
The last trackof the album ‘Let’s Nacho’ starts in a very unusual way on the beats of a dhol and the Congo playing to Tamil vocals sung by Benny Dayal it’s a progressive number in Benny Dayal & Badshah’s voice. This one’s been recomposed from their earlier song Tamil Fever by Benny Dayal & Nucleya with nutty & catchy lyrics penned by Christopher Pradeep & Kumaar. This one’s going to make the party poppers get out of control so everybody let’s Nacho!!!!!! Ratings: 3.5/5
Overall, the music album of ‘Kapoor & Sons’ is a fun trip intertwined with emotions just like the film and cast is being portrayed. When five upcoming composers merge to create music for a film the album only turns out to be versatile one, with each of the composers giving it their best shot. Ratings: 4/5
