Detailed Analysis:

Time travel films did fail in past and its a tricky genre in India. Promos of this Siddhartha-Katrina starre? look good and hit music made it next potential hit. 

Plot is interesting. It depends on the notion- What would you do if you could see the future of your relationship? This film follows a roller coaster ride with Jai (Siddhartha Malhotra) and Diya (Katrina Kaif) as they ride the ups and down of their relationship through the test of time. That is the central premise of Nitya Mehra-directed Baar Baar Dekho. Essentially a romance, Baar Baar Dekho is also a reflection of love in our time.

Katrina plays an artist whose sole ambition is to become Mrs Jai Verma. Mr Verma, played by Sidharth, is a brilliant Vedic  mathematician who wants to soar his wings. Love is important for him but not as much as his career. Or is it? He simply cannot decide right till the moment marriage bells are about to ring. And that is the moment when time travel — of sorts — enter the picture. Sidharth Malhotra is given the ability to see some crucial moments of his future. Will a peek into tomorrow change his today?

Film has interesting plot but screenplay gets slow at times especially in 1st half. Songs are chartbuster. Film manages to keep you interested for majority of the runtime. 

Performance wise, Siddhartha Malhotra is honest and good. Katrina Kaif looks million bucks but did not manage to improve on her acting skills. Taha Shah is impressive in an important role. Ram Kapoor ans Sarika are equally good. Sayani Gupta and Rohan Joshi are decent too. 

Film has lacklusture editing. Background music is loud. Cinematography is decent, production design is authentic and costumes are apt. Music lifts the film couple of notches. 

Director Nitya Mehra makes an impressive debut and manages to pull off a commercial film with some sort of novelty. Though somewhat better screenplay and brave storytelling would had more memorable and believable as at times film goes in unreal mode with over the top moments. 

Film released today and will open with decent numbers. O? should grow over weekend especially among urban market.
