Thursday, April 24th 2014, 5:25 PM IST Vikas Bahl’s ‘Queen’ has been critically acclaimed to be an original story with exciting plots. However, upon research, it has been found out that the movie is actually copied from Hollywood movie ‘The Art Of Travel’. A ruined wedding followed by a honeymoon all alone seemed to be an amazingly original plot. However, the twist is that the 2008 American Indie drama has a very similar storyline. The only difference seems to be that in the Hollywood movie, directed by Thomas Wheelan, it is actually the groom-to-be who discovers that his fiancée has been cheating on him and calls off the wedding. The groom, just like Rani, sets off on his honeymoon alone. He sets off on his road to self-discovery. Quite a similar plot, isn’t it? Bahl was contacted regarding whether ‘Queen’ was actually inspired by this movie but he did not respond. His spokesperson, however, called up to say, “‘Sex In The City’, ‘Under The Tuscan Sun’, ‘Eat Pray Love’ also have the same story, so does that mean that they are all inspired by each other? And ‘Queen’ is also inspired by them?”
