Hit-And-Run Case Against Salman Khan To Be Reopened?

Wednesday, 13th Jan 2016, 5:44 PM IST Few days ago, High Court had acquitted Salman Khan from all the charges in the 2002 hit-and-run case. However, the case might get reopened in front of the apex court. According to the grapevine, a circular has been issued by the Additional Commissioner of Police (crime) KMM Prasanna that mentions 16 among the several procedural lapses of the police's case, the High court highlighted in its judgment which include the mismanagement of evidence, apparent changes to the FIR without reason, lethargic response to collecting blood samples for evidence and their subsequent processing and a host of others. The state had announced that it would be challenging Salman's acquittal in the apex court, and now, it is said that the Bandra police are in the process of drafting an appeal for the same.
