Thursday, 24th August 2017, 05:00 PM IST Upcoming bio-drama film 'Daddy', which is set to be based on the life of Mumbai underworld don Arun Gawli has been in the news from the time of its announcement. As the release date of the movie, which will portray the life of gangster-turned-social worker-turned-politician Arun Gawli, draws closer, the other characters cast details are getting in the news. As the much talked about and known rivalry between Arun Gawli and Dawood Ibrahim, we hear Farhan Akhtar is playing Daddy's (as Gawli is also known in the film) bete noir. However, his character is apparently called Maqbool instead of Dawood. Knowing the relationship that Gawli and Dawood have shared in the '80s and knowing that Arjun and Farhan are real close buddies in real life, it would be interesting to see how they depict the palpable tension on screen.
