Saturday, 5th July 2014, 3:43 PM IST Yesterday we reported how Govinda is apprehensive of giving his nod to the Hindi remake of Marathi flick ‘Shikshanacha Aaichya Gho’, which will be produced by Salman Khan, since the actor feels that the film is too arty for his taste and reputation. If Govinda ultimately doesn’t relent, director of the film, Mahesh Manjrekar, will have to find someone else to play the part.
If sources are to be believed, Anil Kapoor and Arjun Rampal are the director’s preferred choice after Govinda for this role. "Mahesh wants to roll with the film early next year as Salman has allotted him 15 days from his busy calendar. He can't keep waiting for Govinda. And if Anil does not give his nod either, he might approach Arjun Rampal," said a source.
‘Shikshanacha Aaichya Gho’ is the story of an average student named Shrinivas Rane whose father (this is the role offered to Govinda) wants him to be the brightest student in the world. At a point in the story, the father in a fit of anger, even slaps the boy. Talking about the speculations, Manjrekar laughed it off, saying, "Right now I'm in Chennai and busy with other commitments and don't have time to comment on speculations." |
