Hansal Mehta To Make Yet Another Biopic

Tuesday, 8th July 2014, 05:57 PM IST In 2010, a professor at the Aligarh Muslim University who was on the verge of retirement, was suspended after being filmed having consensual sex with a rickshaw puller. After knowing this, the university authorities suspended the 64-year-old professor and ordered him to vacate the house allotted to him by them.
Strangely, around two months after this incident, Siras was found dead in mysterious circumstances at his rented apartment in Aligarh's Durga Wadi. We have heard that National Award winning director Hansal Mehta is keen to make a film on the estranged professor’s life. The film’s lead cast is yet to be finalised and other modalities are being worked out. A source close to the director of ‘Shahid’ confirmed the news saying, “Hansal is working on this subject as well as the ‘Saaransh’ remake. Most probably, the ‘Saaransh’ remake will go on floors first.” |
