Music Composers: Vipin Patwa
Lyricists: Dr. Sagar,
K.D Satyam’s ‘Bollywood Diaries’ starring Raima Sen, Salim Diwan and Ashish Vidyarthi is all set to hit the screens on 26th Feb, 2016. Bollywood Diaries is about three unrelated individuals who aspire to become Bollywood actors, the movie captures their journey and struggles. let’s listen to the album and see if the music compliments the concept.
The album starts with the track ‘Manva Behrupiya’. This is a melodious inspirational track in Arijit Singh’s mesmerizing voice and Vipin Patra’s earthy voice to the soulful lyrics by Dr.Sagar which creates a direct connect with the plot of the film and also helps each one of us relate to our unfulfilled dreams that we sometimes leave behind to achieve different goals. It’s composed beautifully by Vipin Patwa is a song you could listen to and feel inspired. Ratings: 3.5/5
The next song in the album is a ‘Mann Ka Mirga’. Which is a classical sufi song sung by Pritibha Singh Baghel in her classical voice, Javeed Bhasheer and the Nooran Sisters. The lyrics penned down by Dr. Sagar are commendable giving us that lost hope back with the recent trend of lyrics that goes around. The composition sounds slightly outdated but is apt keeping the plot of the film in mind, if you are a music lover of classical beats and sufi and as this song is for you. Ratings: 3/5
The third song ‘Titli’ is the best song of the album, starts with some beautiful humming and goes on to be crooned by none other than Papon in his expressive voice doing justice to the amazing lyrics by Dr. Sagar and to the graceful composition by Vipin Patwa. This is a western classical track which will make you close your eyes and will make you completely lose yourself in its melody & lyrics. Ratings: 4/5
The last song in the album is ‘Piya Ki Nagri’ sung by Pritibha Singh Baghel in a very sweet voice which sounds quite different than she did in the second track of the film and is a romantic song. The lyrics are repetitive in the song with the line “Koi to Raaz Bateye Re” repeated too often however the same can be over looked considering it’ll still make you tap your foot to it’s beat. Ratings: 2.5/5
Overall, the album of ‘Bollywood Diaries’ is a melodious one especially for those who love listening to music that touches their soul. Wishing the movie does well too just so that the efforts put together towards this album don’t go wasted. Ratings: 4/5
