FAN Crosses 84 Cr Nett In 3rd Week

Shahrukh Khan starrer ''Fan'' released yesterday and it got wide release in India across 3500 screens and across 1100 screens in overseas. Film is not typical Bollywood film as it has no songs and no distinct romantic track or actress. Despite zilch appeal among masses, film managed good weekend worldwide though it turned out to be disappointment in India.

Film opened to solid numbers of 45% in metros and mass centers were low which was expected for such film. Film collected 19.20 cr nett on day one which was good number. Day 2 got the movie 15.40 cr as holiday benefit of Friday was not there. Film managed to cross 17.75 cr nett on Sunday which means no growth on Sunday.

Film dropped by 65% on Monday and collected poor 6.05 cr nett. Film got help from holiday on Tuesday and collected 5.75 cr nett. Film added 4.20 cr nett on Wednesday and 3.15 cr nett on Thursday. Film collected disappointing 71.50 cr nett in 1st week.

Film dropped on 2nd Friday and collected 1.70 cr nett. Film added 2.65 cr nett and with little growth on Sunday, film collected 3.40 cr nett. Film collected 7.75 cr nett in 2nd weekend and it should collect 12.50 cr nett in 2nd week. Film added low 1.10 cr nett on 2nd Monday followed by 1 cr nett on Tuesday, 85 lakhs nett on Wednesday and 75 lakhs nett on Thursday. Film added poor 11.25 cr nett in 2nd week which is 85% drop from 1st week. Film added 1.15 cr nett in 3rd week.

Film has 3-week total of 84.10 cr nett which means film is heading for 85 cr nett lifetime. Overseas the movie earned 2.7 million $ (17.93 cr) on opening day and huge 6.01 million $ (40.01 cr) over weekend followed by 7.73 million $ (51.48 cr) in 1st week. Film has collected 9.2 million $ (61.35 cr) in overseas till 2nd weekend followed by 9.780 million $ (64.96 cr) by end of 2nd week. Film has crossed 175 cr gross worldwide by end of 2nd weekend and no matter what happens at domestic box office, brand SRK continues to shine bright in overseas.
