1st Week Box Office Collection Of RUSTOM

Friday, 19th August 2016, 11:00 AM RUSTOM Had Highest Week One Ever For Akshay Kumar This week box office saw a clash which had two contrasting films. Akshay Kumar starrer 'Rustom' and Hrithik Roshan starrer ''Mohenjodaro' are fighting out at box office and as expected by pre release buzz, Akshay has won this clash by some margin. 'Rustom' was ahead in East Punjab, UP, Mumbai and central India. Film was super solid in multiplexes and even not so strong circuits for Akshay Kumar like Mysore, Nizam were very good for the film. Film collected around 14.11 cr nett on day one which was good considering release size and clash factor. As predicted by us, film grew by close to 18-20% on 2nd day and collected 16.43 cr nett. Film witnessed further growth on Sunday and collected 19.88 cr nett. Film has weekend total of 50.42 cr nett and as expected it had big independence day holiday. Film was affected due to clash but managed very good 17.81 cr nett which was 10% less than Sunday. Film was super strong on Tuesday with less than 45% drop. Film added 7.67 cr nett on Tuesday. Film was good on Wednesday with 6.38 cr nett. Film grew again on Thursday due to Raksha Bandhan and collected 7.85 cr nett. Film has 1st week total of 90.13 cr nett as we predicted and this is highest 1st week total for star. It should be 3rd 100 cr grosser this year for Akshay Kumar in next three days and can challenge highest Akshay Kumar grosser 'Rowdy Rathore' depending on 2nd weekend biz. Film added 1.24 million $ (8.30 cr) on opening day in overseas with healthy biz in UAE-GCC (4.3 cr in two days). Film has weekend collection of 23 cr plus in overseas and 90 cr worldwide gross.
