ALONE And Other New Releases Start On Sluggish Note
2014 proved to be a bad year at box office for Hindi film industry and with failure of ''Tevar'', even 2015 has taken a poor start too. Now there is a week which will see plethora of releases.
There is not much hope from these films either.
''Alone'' released across 1000-1200 screens and it is another Bipasha Basu starrer horrer film directed by successful director Bhushan Patel who directed ''Ragini MMS 2'' and ''1920 Evil Returns''. But this film has taken a sluggish start as there is no chartbuster and no novelty value. Film will struggle to cross 1.5-2 cr nett on day one unless film changes course dramatically from evening.
''Crazy Kukkad Family'' and ''Sharafat Gayi Tel Lene'' started on very poor note and even 25 lakhs nett on day one looks like an achievement as of now unless film takes huge jump from evening onwards.
''I'' took an average to below par start in Hindi verison and highly acclaimed Hollywood flicks i.e. ''The Imitation Game'' and ''The American Sniper'' etc are doing well in metros but among niche audience.
