After below par 'Alone' and disastrous 'Tevar', 2015 will see first big release in form of Akshay Kumar starrer 'Baby'. Sonam Kapoor starrer 'Dolly Ki Doli' will also try to en-cash Republic Day holiday aided weekend.
'Dolly Ki Doli' has got some average reviews and that is why film has opened to poor occupancy all over. Film was close to 10-15% across the country and it never grew beyond that level on day one. Film collected close to 2.55 cr nett on day one.
Film found it tough on day two as it failed to grow big despite low numbers on Friday. Film managed around 3.44 cr nett on day two and thus film collected 5.45 cr nett in two days.
Film jumped again on Sunday by 35% and collected 4.76 cr nett. Film was strong in UP, Gujarat and East Punjab. Film finished with 10.75 cr nett weekend which is below par but not that poor considering tough competition. Film maintained good score on Monday as film had advantage of national holiday.
Film collected 4.54 cr nett on Monday which was good. But film dropped on Tuesday and collected 1.45 cr nett thus taking its 5 day total to 16.74 cr nett. The film further earned 1.18 cr on Wednesday, taking its 6 days total to 17.99 cr.
Film should cross 19 cr nett by end of the week now it needs a amazing trending in 2nd week for an ideal result of around 28-30 cr nett.
