It’s Reunion time: Ayushmann Khurrana to share the screen with his former co-stars Bhumi Pednekar and Yami Gautam

Ayushmann will be reuniting with his debut film Vicky Donor co-star Yami Gautam in the film alongside his Dum Laga Ke Haisha and Shubh Mangal Savdhan co-star Bhumi Pednekar. Bala will be directed by Amar Kaushik, who directed one of last year’s biggest hits, i.e. the horror-comedy Stree. Talking about Bala and reuniting with Ayushmann, Yami said, “I’m excited to be working on Bala. It’s a great script, and a relevant concept and an amazing team working on it. It’s been an overwhelming time for me this year, starting with Uri and now with coming on board for Bala. We begin shooting for the film this week and I look forward to being part of another strong film with a great story backing it.” The slice of life film has finally gone on floors today and the makers announced the same. Maddock Films' took to Twitter to share the teaser poster of the film and wrote, "Excitement is in the hair.. err air! The shooting for #Bala begins today, @amarkaushik directs! #DineshVijan @ayushmannk @bhumipednekar @yamigautam @saurabhshukla_s @jaavedjaaferi #SeemaPahwa @JioCinema". In the teaser poster, a caricature of a bald man is seen hinting at the plot of Bala. Moreover, Ayushmann is also seen holding a clapperboard and only showing his hair. In the film, Ayushmann whose nickname is Bala is balding prematurely. Bhumi will be seen as dusky small town educated girl, while Yami plays a supermodel based in Lucknow. The film will be extensively shot in Mumbai and Kanpur.
