Friday, 28 February, 9:51 PM Bollywood actor Nana Patekar could notwithstand the fact that Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt got a parole and reportedlysaid that all he could do is boycott the films that this jailed actor stars in. The 63-year-old actor says, “I have notworked with him in 22 years of my career, I will not work with him in futuretoo. Government will do whatever they want. They are saying that it is legal,you can’t say anything about it. But I will do whatever is in my hands.” Sanjay was sentenced to six years ofimprisonment by the Supreme Court for the illegal possession of arms inconnection with the 1993 Mumbai serial blasts case. He had served 18 months ofjail earlier and surrendered before a Mumbai court on May 18, 2013 to serve hisremaining period of imprisonment. Patekar further said, “You will watch hisfilms and make him a hero and later you say he shouldn’t get parole. Thingsdon’t work like that. What can I do? Who will listen to me? People think he isonly an actor. I am also a common man but who will consider that.” Now that Dutt has drawn flak for gettingparole for almost three months during his current jail term, Patekar continuesto speak against the jailed actor saying that he shouldn’t be given favourabletreatment just because he is an actor. | |||
