According to sources, Bollywood actor AamirKhan recently purchased a Mercedes Benz S600 which is no ordinary luxury car;in fact, it promises ‘special protection’.

 

After the actor had reportedly receivedthreats, he informed the police who promptly gave him police protection. But,the pressure from his family and close friends made him purchase this ‘lifeguard’.

 

Aamir is the third proud owner of thisbombproof car in the country – after Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh andindustrialist Mukesh Ambani.

 

According to a source, “After the firstseason of ‘Satyamev Jayate’, Aamir Khan received a few threats as he had openlytalked against female foeticide, medical malpractices and honour killings inthe show. He then decided to purchase this expensive bombproof car. There are alot of people out there who own bulletproof cars, but, his bombproof car is acustomised model and it is specially made for VVIPs.”

 

Aamir was first spotted in this special carwhen he attended a party at a suburban five-star in Mumbai. It is said that thevehicle cost him a whopping Rs 10 crore.

 

“The second season of his show, ‘SatyamevJayate’, is scheduled to hit TV screens from March 2, and its episodes maythrow light on issues such as governance, corruption and the Lok Sabhaelections this year. So he was advised to take no chances,” says a source closeto the star.

 

However, Aamir Khan remained unavailablefor any comments.
