Friday, 14th Aug 2015, 5:35 PM IST On the news of release of 'Phantom' in Pakistan, the 26/11 terrorist attacks mastermind and Jamaat-ud Dawa (JuD) chief Hafiz Muhammad Saeed has sent in a petition demanding a ban on the release of the Indian film in the country. To this, the Pakistan CBFC Chief said that the decision to whether to release a film or not depends on the law and is not driven by controversies. "We have a clear set of laws and rules as legislated by the parliament. We have to comply with the law. (It's as) Simple as that," Fakhr-e-Alam, Central Board of Film Censors (CBFC) chairman, told IANS from Karachi in an interview. "Our job is not to get involved in controversies or respond to everyone and everything. We will follow the law and take decisions according to law," the chief added. ‘Phantom’ is a political thriller inspired by writer Hussain Zaidi's book 'Mumbai Avengers' based on the aftermath of the 26/11 terrorist attacks in which 10 Pakistani terrorists sneaked into Mumbai from the sea in November 2008 and killed 166 Indians and foreigners.
