Wednesday, 2nd July 2014, 06:00 PM IST After it was reported that Sohail Khan had approached Arjun Kapoor to be a part of his upcoming rom-com 'My Punjabi Nikaah', it has now emerged that the 29-year-old actor has refused to do the film. Arjun has apparently rejected the film because the director’s last film did not do too well. "After ‘Jai Ho’ did not live upto its high expectations at the box office, Arjun Kapoor refused to be a part of the project," says a source. Arjun was unavailable for comment but Sohail said that he has not approached Arjun for the film. "I would love to work with him, but‘My Punjabi Nikaah’ and Arjun have no connection whatsoever. In fact, before I approach anyone for the film, I need to revise its script. We haven't fixed any launch date for the project," he says. The film is an adaptation of Canadian-American romantic comedy film ‘My Big Fat Greek Wedding’ and was slated to star Salman Khan and Kareena Kapoor in 2004. But it did not work out back then.
