Monday, 13th October 01:00 PM IST JIGARIYA And SPARK Are Washout, ETKS And TAMANCHEY Are Disasters Too This weekend half a dozen films released and as expected almost all films met with disastrous opening numbers. Films were very poor all over and after such poor show there is no chance of revival at box office. ''Spark'' was released in about 200 screens and film was extremely poor all over. Film collected close to 2 lakhs nett all India on day one followed by equally bad 1.80 lakhs nett on day two and 2.50 lakhs nett on Sunday. Film will be out of many multiplexes on Friday itself and even 10 lakhs nett lifetime will be an achievement. ''Jigariya'' was expected to do better but film met with shocking response at box office due to no face value in the film. Film collected close to 2.10 lakhs nett on day one which again means fall in number of shows today itself. Film added 3 lakhs nett on day two followed by 3.5 lakhs nett on Sunday and lifetime total will be close to 20 lakhs nett at best. ''Tamanchey'' had the widest release in across 820 screens and was expected to do better but film collected pathetic 35 lakhs nett on day one which is too bad considering screen size. Film added 30 lakhs nett on day two and 38 lakhs nett on Sunday. At best, film will score 90 lakhs nett 2 cr nett lifetime which will be disastrous total. ''Ekkees Toppon Ki Salaami'' got rave reviews which helped film in the evening and that is why it manages to show some hold at box office. With limited release in almost 350 screens, film managed good total of 25 lakhs nett. Film added 28 lakhs nett on Saturday. Film collected 40 lakhs nett on Sunday and still film will find it tough to cross 2 cr nett lifetime! Rest small releases like ''Dhoondh Hi Lenge Manzil Hum'' were washout with total less than 1 lakhs nett. | |
