Monday, 3rd November 01:05 PM IST HAPPY NEW YEAR Had Very Good 2nd Weekend One of the biggest releases of the year ''Happy New Year'' released on Friday during one of the biggest holiday period of the year which is post Diwali. Film had huge pre release buzz and it was expected to shatter few records in first three day itself. That is what happened with highest weekend ever and highest opening day ever followed by 2nd highest week one of 2014. Film was bumper on Friday and despite mixed reviews, audience went berserk. Film collected humongous 44.97 cr nett on day one followed by equally impressive 108 cr nett plus weekend which was highest ever. Film kept falling on weekdays due to not so great reviews and Muharram period affecting it. Film collected 157.57 cr nett on day one and that was 3rd highest week one. Film is now left with 2200 screens approximate and it needs almost 45-50 cr nett week two in order to have any chance of reaching close to 215-220 cr nett mark. But film has taken rather low start on 2nd Friday. Film dropped by 35% on 2nd Friday from previous day and collected 5.35 cr nett. Film jumped big on 2nd Saturday and holidays in partsof Karnatka helped the film. Film jumped by 50% plus from previous day and collected 8 cr nett. Film again jumped big on 2nd Sunday and collected 12.20 cr nett with 25% jump from previous day. Film has total of 183 cr nett plus in 10 days and film should score 38 cr nett in week two. Film can cross 40 cr nett week as there will be two holidays on Tuesday and Thursday plus Muharram will be over by Monday. Film collected huge 65 cr in overseas and it should reach 80 cr mark by end of run which means highest grosser in overseas for 2014. No matter what, SRK''''s consistency in overseas remains intact!
